AN UNCOMMON GOOD
Hosted by City to City Australia, Hope for Sydney and Anglican Deaconess Ministries
What is An Uncommon Good Conference about?
The gospel of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection sets us free. It frees us from God’s wrath and sin’s shame. And it frees us to live in accordance with His will. “Let your light shine before others that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” These were Christ’s words to his followers, and they still have relevance to those who believe in him today. An Uncommon Good wants to equip Christians to act on these words.
How can we as His people have a positive impact? How can God move us to bless those beyond the church - in our places of work and society at large? Among our co-workers and among the most needy and marginalised of our communities?
Session One in the afternoon is aimed at both Ministry and Lay leaders. It will cover practical models for:
- involving lay people in ministering to the marginalised
- equipping workers to better integrate faith and work.
Session Two in the evening is for all ministry leaders and the general public. It will highlight the perspective of lay people on the frontline, actively engaging their faith and the world.
